A-K was born and raised in Norway. She holds a Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oslo University. A-K has over 15 years’ experience working with toddlers, preschool and school age children in a variety of settings. In Norway she worked at an outdoor-nature childcare and a Waldorf childcare. She has used these experiences to influence the programs she later worked at in Toronto. After many years working at an inclusive co-op preschool and after school care, she completed Management for Early Childhood Educators at George Brown College in June 2017 and joined My School in September the same year.
She lives in Riverdale with her Nova Scotian husband and their son who is studying in Montreal.

MELISSA LEPINE
My School Co-op Assistant Teacher
An alumni parent, Melissa has been the classroom assistant since her son Jack started Jk. She grew up in Timmins and Peterborough, went to Western University and then settled in the Roncesvalles neighbourhood where she lives with her husband and their son Jack. She is interested in healthy cooking and living, loves High Park and nature. Melissa is currently taking courses at George Brown College towards a certificate in Early Childhood Education.
Jura Bucek
My School Co-op Assistant Teacher
Jura joined My School spring of 2022. Before starting her own family, Jura was working in childcare with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. She continued caring for children, providing home child care and after school care as her children were growing. A native to the neighbourhood, Jura continues to live with her 2 school age children in Roncesvalles. She is an amazing baker, multitasker and organizer. Jura is enrolled at George Brown College and is only 3 courses short from finishing her Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
