Pauline McAuley, RECE
My School Co-op Teacher
Pauline came to Canada from Glasgow, Scotland in 1974. After beginning her career with work as a caregiver, she settled down in the east end of Toronto and worked for 10 years in the Riverdale Hospital Daycare as Assistant Supervisor. A young family of her own kept her busy for several years; then, with a move to the High Park neighbourhood, Pauline joined My School in 1990 and has overseen all of the school’s growth.
“Pauline is an exemplary teacher. She is tremendously knowledgeable about teaching the preschool years and consistently demonstrates care and kindness towards the children, staff and parents. Her firm but fair teaching style creates an extremely safe and nurturing learning environment where the students are truly able to flourish. Pauline’s expertise is undoubtedly a contributing factor to the popularity and success of My School.” -- Nicole Kertz, My School V.P. 2014/15

Dana Schafer
My School Co-op Teacher
Dana grew up in Mississauga and has been looking after children of all ages for as long as she can remember. She has lived and worked as a nanny in Ontario as well as Vancouver where she resided for 4 years. In 2013 she settled into the Roncesvalles neighbourhood and began providing child care for many families in the area. In 2015 Dana started running an after school arts and craft program in her father's studio/gallery space. It became a busy little program quite quickly and Dana was even able to provide a March Break camp which turned out to be very successful. Dana lives with her 4 year old son who is in his first year at Fern Avenue Public School. He attended My School in 2017. My School is a very inspiring, inviting, caring and community orientated program and Dana is thrilled to be a part of it. She will be beginning the venture of achieving her diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2019.
