Our Philosophy
We believe each child is capable, curious, and rich in potential.
At My School, we are committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment where each child is respected for who they are. We believe in the power of play. Play is essential to how a child learns and develops. Through play, the child acquires new skills and problem solving capabilities, while learning to make choices that respect the needs and feelings of others. Each child develops at their own pace in a caring and inclusive environment, with the independence, self-confidence and critical thinking skills that set them up for an easy transition to kindergarten. Our play environment: We have a sunny playroom and use of a fenced outdoor play area. Children can freely explore and choose their own areas of interest from creative expression, cognitive, literacy, numeracy, dramatic play and sensory activities. The activities and curriculum are based on observation of what children are curious, interested and engaged in - learning happens in the threefold of head, heart and doing. |
History of My School Cooperative

Inspired by the long-running “Time to Play” nursery program operating out of Runnymede Elementary School, My School was founded by six parents who wanted to bring a co-operative model of early education to the Roncesvalles community.
